Rayshard Brooks (born in 1993 – died June 12, 2020) was an African-American Restaurant Worker from Atlanta, United States. He was shot dead by Garrett Rolfe (Atlanta Police Officer) on June 12, 2020.

Officer Devin Brosnan received information that Brooks was asleep in the car and blocked the restaurant road area. After a few minutes, Brosnan and Rolfe arrived. They used the breathalyzer that showed that Rayshard blood-alcohol content was above the prescribed limit.

Rayshard Brooks was born in 1993 (Age: 27 years old, 2020) in Atlanta, USA. His ancestors were from Africa.

After graduation, he joined the Atlanta Police Department in the same year.He received a written reprimand for his unsafe driving and careless attitude towards his duty in a public place.On the other hand, Rolfe received deadly training in the county police academy in January 2020.Another police officer Devin Brosnan worked in the police department since 2018. He was present when Rolfe shot Rayshard Brooks.On June 12, 2020, Devin and Garrett arrived near the Wendy restaurant as they found a man sleeping in the car.Brosnan asked Brooks to wake up and move his car. However, he did not respond to the police officer.Then, the Atlanta Police told him to leave his car and come with the officers.After the gunshot incident, it caused a huge protest in the city.The news outlets told that Brooks was calm and friendly with the police.Apart from that, the County Medical Examiner reported revealed that his death cause homicide.The Georgia Bureau of Investigation took the case for the investigation and recommendation of the Atlanta Police Department.
